A Dhaka court Sunday deferred the indictment proceedings until Feb 7 in a corruption case accusing Sheikh Hasina of awarding contracts for three barge-mounted power plants in exchange for bribes. Hasina appeared briefly in the Special Judge's Court-1 Sunday morning in the case filed by the Anticorruption Commission. The court postponed the indictment proceedings after Hasina's lawyers appealed for time.
